Running R in Zerethon IDE
What Run does with your script, the time limit, input, tests, and what a run cannot do.
Runs in Zerethon IDE · R 4.5
Official R documentation ↗
- Run (Ctrl/⌘+Enter) runs the entry file —
main.Rby default — withRscript --vanilla(R 4.5): no profile, no saved workspace, a fresh session every time. Make another file the entry with the ▶ button next to it in the explorer. - Output, warnings and errors appear in the Output tab; what you type in the Input tab is the script's standard input.
- A run is stopped after 15 seconds (R itself needs about 2 seconds to start). Memory is limited, there is no network, and the project files are read-only (write to
/tmp). - Run tests (Ctrl/⌘+Shift+Enter) runs every file named
test_*.R, each in its own R session. A test file passes when it finishes without an error, so a failingstopifnot()fails it.
test_geometry.R
source("geometry.R")
stopifnot(area(2, 3) == 6, area(0, 5) == 0)
cat("geometry ok\n")
geometry.R from “Several files and packages”.
Tip: The editor highlights R and completes keywords and common functions. There is no formatter or live error checking yet: Run shows R's own messages.
